For the past few weeks I have been cutting old glass bottles which I'll use in my lamp. That turned out to be quite challenging but after testing a few different techniques I managed to cut the bottom of the bottles neatly. All I needed was a glass cutter and hot/cold water. Then I used sandpaper for the sharp edges.
Today I finally got my fabric which I had waited for several weeks and I could really get things going. I designed the pattern myself after being inspired by roots. The pattern is digitally printed on transculent cotton and ordered from Spoonflower. I sewed these little "hoods" for the bottels and used a little bit of glue to keep the fabric still.
So, only finishing touches to be done and then figuring out the electrics and lights. Next time I'll be posting photos of a finished product!
Have a great day, will get back to this!
